Em um rápido anúncio feito nessa segunda-feira (18) no YouTube, o jornalista e apresentador canadense Geoff Keighley revelou a lista de indicados para a edição desse ano do The Game Awards. Essa deve ser uma das mais concorridas edições do TGA em seus 10 anos de história, uma vez que nenhum jogo parece um favorito óbvio ao título de Game of the Year (ou GOTY, como diz o jargão).
A categoria principal, a de jogo do ano, teve seis indicados dessa vez. São eles: Astro Bot (Team Asobi); Metaphor: ReFantazio (Studio Zero); Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Square Enix); Balatro (LocalThunk); Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree (FromSoftware); e Black Myth: Wukong (Game Science).
Os vencedores serão conhecidos em cerimônia realizada no dia 12 de dezembro no Peacock Theater, em Los Angeles, com transmissão ao vivo no YouTube e outros canais do TGA. As votações para as categorias populares já estão abertas no site do prêmio.
